Behave Yourself

Ephesians 4:1 “I therefore, a prisoner of the Lord, URGE YOU TO WALK IN A MANNER WORTHY OF THE CALLING to which you have been called…”

Philippians 1:27 “Only LET YOUR MANNER OF LIFE BE WORTHY OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST…”

Colossians 1:9-10 Paul wrote to the church at Colossae, “From the day we heard (referring back to verse 4 – their faith in Christ Jesus and love for all the saints), we have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all spiritual wisdom and understanding, (10) SO AS TO WALK IN A MANNER WORTHY OF THE LORD, FULLY PLEASING TO HIM…”

I Thessalonians 2:11-12 “For you know how, like a father with his children, we exhorted you each one of you and encouraged you and charged YOU TO WALK IN A MANNER WORTHY OF GOD, Who calls you into His own kingdom and glory.”

I Timothy 3:14-14 “I hope to come to you soon, but I am writing these things to you so that, (15) If I delay, YOU MAY KNOW HOW ONE OUGHT TO BEHAVE IN THE HOUSEHOLD OF GOD, which is the Church of the Living God, a pillar and buttress of truth.”

What does it mean to walk in manner of the Lord? Ephesians 4:1-2 “I therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you are called, with all humility.

How do we walk in humility? Live a Grace-Conscious before God and before others.

Paul lived a Grace-Conscious life before God and others - Galatians 1:15 he wrote that God called him “by His grace,” to preach Christ among the Gentiles.

In I Corinthians 15:9 “For I am the least of the apostles , unworthy to be called an apostle, because I persecuted the church of God. (10) BUT BY THE GRACE OF GOD I AM WHAT I AM, and His grace toward me was not in vain.”
